I always pretend to read a magazine and secretly glance at everybody else there making up ridiculous scenarios for what they've got and why they're there. It sure passes the time, but sometimes it's hard not to laugh out loud. The trick is the make sure you are looking at a page in the magazine when this occurs.......

lol

go around the room and introduce yourself to others and then tell something specific about why you are visiting the Dr. today. Include how long you have been afflicted with the ailment, what medications you take, what the side affects are and what you hope to resolve by todays visit with your doctor. Discuss the rising costs of health insurance and how many fish do you think are swimming in that tank.

I don't. I haven't been to a doctor's office in years. I spend my time eating very healthy, exercising and taking care of my body so I don't have to find ways of passing time in a doctors office.

Well, I would like to read some of their magazines, but I arrive early and then they take me into the office early. Hence, I never get to read the "unusual" magazines that I don't normally get to see. :-(

I have a very young doctor, and he must not have many patients yet because I've never waited more than about five minutes to see him.

I always take a book. I finished "Life Expectancy" in just two visits a couple of weeks ago

Always take a book. Figure magazines have been read and coughed on by other sick people and I prefer home bred germs..

Oddly, my doctor never keeps me waiting. Otherwise, I'd probably snoop through the drawers.
