Of course it is!
The actions of lobbyists and PAC.s are an
open scandal.
How complacent we are when our legislators
are for sale to the highest bidder is the amazing
thing about it.
Politicians! Step this way.
Lotsa lamp-posts! No waiting!

the democrats take 49 seats, and the republicans take 49 seats in congress. Dems are NOT the overwhelming majority.
However, I think more is happening now (resigning of Alberto Gonzales, Karl Rove, and Donal Rumsfeld) which I believe is due to the new congress.
So in regards to negativism, I think congress is doing a lot better than before 2006. My hope is that they do more regarding investigations into this war.

How about the politicians : 1. accepting bribes a.k.a. lobbyist contributions,2. "robbing" the money from an account to provide financial benefit/s to the lobbyists interest/s, 3. selling the U.S.A.'S secrets ( several occasions have occurred through out history) to foreign governments / individuals, 4. plagiarizing with other politicians, 5. voting themselves special tax breaks, while applying a higher tax burden on us average Americans, 6. providing politicians with paid vacations, REPEATEDLY, on their "fact finding junkets", 7.using their influence to remain out of jail for crimes they have committed, repeatedly.
Need I go on ??? I only have 12 to 20 more years to live, so I can not list all of the reasons!!!!

yes. Our government was set up so we the people had controll,it is broken and needs to be fixed. It was innitially set up with a system of checks and ballances so no one party or office could get too powerful, Our congress voted to allow Bush to start this antiterrorist national police and with it they threw out most of that very important checks and ballances system. Along with most of our constitutional rights. WE ARE SCREWED, thanks to our current congress. They sold us out and I am very frightened. We are in serious trouble, and getting in deeper every day. with bush weakening our military we will not be strong enough to fight any real enemy now he surely is not on our side. I have never been in trouble in my life but I bet they put me in prison soon cause of how I tell it like I see it. I am going to keep talking cause I believe what I am saying and if I don't my grandchildren will not even know what freedom is and that is just not acceptable.
