Lee Harvey Oswald, who assassinated Kennedy, was born in 1939.

Both assassins were known by their three names.
Both names are composed of fifteen letters.

Now hang on to your seat.

Lincoln was shot at the theater named 'Ford.'
Kennedy was shot in a car called ' Lincoln ' made by 'Ford.'

Lincoln was shot in a theater and his assassin ran and hid in a warehouse.
Kennedy was shot from a warehouse and his assassin ran and hid in a theater.

Booth and Oswald were assassinated before their trials.

And here's the kicker...

A week before Lincoln was shot, he was in Monroe , Maryland
A week before Kennedy was shot, he was In Marilyn Monroe.

I'm an ancient American who remembers much of the doings around JFK and had studied Lincoln a bit, and I knew nothing of any of these! Shows how much thought a teenager puts into stuff, doesn't it?

EDIT: And to all those who knew already, congrats on the trivia front. I never even got on the 'net til recently, which may explain a bit. Never watched TV for years. I read books and wrote... and a lot of other stuff... just living! ;-}

This has been going around since 1964, the year after Kennedy's assassination. There has only been one slight modification to it since then (other than the Marilyn Monroe bit).

The version of it in 1964 ended with "Andrew Johnson was not elected to another term." That was because Lyndon Johnson was running against Barry Goldwater at the time. After Johnson's landslide victory, the line was dropped.

Everything is true except we all know oswald did not kill kennedy, or at least by himself.
