I have a dell and i have a macbook.

Mac is so much better! its just so easy and there are so many features that my dell doesnt have. u already know about the software and the it can run windows and the virus thing but other things is like the display is better and brighter, it doesnt have a whole bunch of junk software that comes with it like free trials of this and that. ive had it for a yr now and i never had a single problem. my dell got hundreds of virues and the cd burner stopped working and stuff i had to get it replaced. only bad thing bout the mac is that it gets kinda hot after a while.

Hi I recently purchased a Dell Inspiron / B130 and I will admit I love my laptop to me Dell makes the best computers my desk top computer is also a dell and I had it for 4 years and it still works like new the features are great the battery last long it down loads real fast the picture quality when you are watching a DVD is amazing!!!!!!!!! I really would recommend you get a Dell laptop. But it is all up to you and of course not everyone experience will not be the same but take my advice you can not go wrong with a Dell computer.

Apple makes their hardware to last. Dell sells rebadged Compal laptops made in Tiawan and Korea.

I have a relatively new Dell latitude with a useless battery. The battery should be good for about 800 charge/discharge cycles. The powermanagement chip in the battery prevented it from charging after about 100 cycles. Dells wants to sell a new battery for about $200.

I also have an old G# powerbook that was given to me. Runs great, battery charges up and works. it's older than the Dell.

In this situation even though I hate Apple, I'll have to go with Apple, Dell uses really cheap parts and they break really fast and easily.

The major prob with dell is you must buy dell specific parts and upgrades.
