Not a wayne fan either but technically you are right, it's his life not someone else's so too him what he raps about is real. I guess when people say real though there talking about some sad kind of rap songs about pain and politics and things people see everyday on a daily basis the average person doe'snt have 10 cars in there driveway or have millions and millions of dollars.

I think real life is good, but every rapper out there is rappin about there "real" life, and it's all in the hood being a drug dealer, having kids at a young age and stuff like that. My point is if ur gonna rap about real life, rap about a few of the good things in life and some of the bad. I'm not saying to lie and cover up ur life, but include some of the good things like how you were blessed to wake up this mornin. And don't become an arrogant idiot talkin about how much money u hav and the amount of cars. Stick to good rap. good luck!

If you want to rap, do it with something that can give you the emotions to make it seem real.

If real life can make you seem like you mean what you say and are feeling it, then rap about real life. Also, if you can rap about issues happening today and eyeopening subjects (not just worthless rants) you'll probably be respected and better liked.

If you can't do that, then rap about fake life...the key is to just seem "real."

Also, look for a record company or talent agency to submit your tracks to.

Good luck!

Rap about real life.
You can also tell a story without being fake.
Most novels are made-up, but also have
some real facts intermingled in the story.
Rap about what you feel inside, what you see.
You always want to stay true to yourself so
when you go on an interview, you can back up
your lyrics.
Look what happened to Vanilla Ice.

Heres the formula: Real = Wont sell, wont get popular.
Fake = Will sell, but will be criticized for it.

So if you want a quik buck then go fake, but you would be adding to the many rappers who are "killing hip-hop"

..That being said, it depends on many other factors as well.

Just be creative. Say what's on your mind, whether it's real or pure creativity. Preferably, I would say keep it real and true. People appreciate the truth as well as creativity.
