I have finally seen it for the first time. Don't really understand it but felt compelled to watch it like a train wreck. Is it the weirdest movie ever made or are there some even weirder?
I do have a couple that are really weirder but not nearly as compelling.

Nothing else that I have seen gave me such a sense of having stumbled into someone else's nightmare. But some of the European Surrealist works are very strange in their own way; The Phantom of Liberty (Luis Buñel) and Blood of a Poet (Jean Cocteau) come to mind.

I totally agree. It is about the weirdest move I have ever seen. The only one that is right up there with it is Fellini's "8 1/2".

Watch any movie David Lynch has ever made. He makes weird movies. That's his style.

Twin Peaks
Mulholland Drive
Lost Highway

All weird.
