IT HASTENED THE WESTWARD EXPANSION, HELPED FEED THE EXPLODING POPULATION BY QUICKLY TRANSPORTING FOODSTUFFS TO THE EAST AND HASTENED THE DEMISE OF THE AMERICAN BUFFALO SINCE WHEN THE TRAINS WERE STOPPED BY MIGRATING HERDS THE PASSENGERS PASSED THE TIME BY SLAUGHTERING THEM JUST FOR FUN.
