green leotards, green turtle neck, and a red vest you can glue some felt cutouts onto the vest.. voila..you've got an elf costume. Buy some pointy ears from a costume place

it's a tad revealing but you could wear shorts or leggings with it? Topshop has some nice ones at the moment.
