I'm wondering if anybody has a website that has good poetry; poetry that really means something. Poetry that really speaks to you.
The url would be great. Thanks! [:

I'd recommend Verse Daily (versedaily.org). They cull the contemporary magazines and recently published books. They also have a huge archive of several years. A quality selection of poetry, I'd say easily the better of the two daily sites.

Also, Verse Daily's about page for the poet also lists several other sites for the poet's work on the web, and for any books the poet has published.

Try http://www.poemhunter.com or http://www.poetry.org If not, just go to your local Barnes and Noble and take a look in the poetry section. Some standards, as I have recommended before here, are Emily Dickinson, T.S. Elliot. Andrew Marvell, John Donne, Walt Whitman, William Blake, Rainer Maria Rilke (he is often recommended to those young people who aspire to write poetry)...for some good contemporary ones, try Christine Hume, Charles Simic (was barely pointed towards his direction and love his poetry now), or, if you can find him, Tim Richardson.
