i do no longer see yet another selection. Irans nuke production unit is buried so deep in effortless terms our recent nuke bunker buster can attain them. the only actual question is how lots of its defense force to we take out on the comparable time to sidestep them from unbelievable out, and can we use nukes for that interest? i think of if a rustic has nukes we ought to continually take off the gloves and nuke em first. The Persians have been a persevering with difficulty for the western international for hundreds of years. Marathon, Thermopylea, and Guagamela each and every time they have been slapped down and yet come decrease back for extra. I say we turn Iran right into a crater and be finished with them.

There's a difference between bombing someplace which could be justified under certain circumstances and NUKES which poisons everyone and everything. Not everyone exposed to radiation dies of thyroid cancer. Many live on with very serious health and reproductive illness. This spreads world wide. It won't just be in Iran. We have the technology to drop a smart nuclear free bomb on anyone we want. Why the heck would we want to spread (MORE) radiation throughout the planet?

Anyone got some popcorn, this is getting good!

As for nuclear (NOT Nucular) arms use, I think it would not happen because of just one middle eastern country. I would hope that level heads would prevail, and that last resort can be avoided. I also am in hopes of our coming to some sort of energy solution that would make the policies the rest of the world (not just the USA) has put into place, unnecessary.

I think, only one circumstance should be considered. That would be if Iran, or anybody else decided to make use of their nukes.

Every nuclear nation in the world (except the US) has signed a no-first-use treaty. I think this is because no nation can imagine a scenario where first use of nuclear weapons could get them anywhere. Whoever uses them first becomes the villain of the entire world, every other nation would turn against them. So there's no way to win a war by using nukes, unless it's in retaliation for being nuked yourself.

This brings up the question: Would terrorists use nukes if they could get their hands on them, since it wouldn't be a nation using them and so retaliation would be difficult? Maybe so, but we would know where those nukes came from by analyzing the fallout and that nation would share much of the guilt.

So I don't think Bush would be dumb enough tol use nukes on Iran (but he surprises me sometimes!)

To answer your question: The only circumstance that would justify the US nuking Iran would be if Iran nuked us first. Which isn't going to happen.

Once all diplomatic and financial efforts have failed and the UN has tried to create pressure on them to behave, like with North Korea and they don't than conventional weapons can be used. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES should we use Nukes again against any country unless they nuke us first. Even with the Soviet Union it was a threat of mutual destruction that kept each from using them on the other. Let's keep it that way.

Iran can not ever have a nuclear capability for the same reason we do not allow kids to play with dynamite .

The only way that the United States will ever use nuclear weapons is if they are launched at us or used on us .

If used on us by another nation we will have to show the world that we are justified in killing millions before we can act .

Nuclear weapons are a deterrent to attack and not meant to be used except as a last resort .

Someone, someday is gonna send a nuke our way. Iran is exactly the type that would do it. Prevention is what our government is working on. That may require a confrontation. We need to make sure our next leader is strong enough to do whatever needs to be done to prevent a nuke from hitting the US.

Never with one exception, Iran nuked the US first. Too many civilians die in a nuke blast. The classified info I know about US nukes would scare the stew out of everyone on YA. You'd be amazed at the power of one US warhead today, when compared to the two dropped on Japan. It is as a pound of C4 compared to the striking of a match.

None, we could destroy their entire country with conventional weapons (bombing).

Watch some youtube videos about Hiroshima and Nagasaki and educate yourself about wrong our government was for bombing those cities densely populated with CIVILIANs.

Nuclear weapons are a necessary evil as they deter large conflicts on the scale of WW2. Why do you think we never went to war with the USSR?
