Why would they want to be the worst parents in the world? Well its quite simple, it's better than looking like a murderer is it not? Do you know parents that leave their child 100 yards away? That's the length of a football pitch, that's 300 feet. In a foreign country? I have yet to meet one parent that does that with one child, let alone three.
Here's another thought, say there was a fire, could they have rescused them? I feel sorry for maddie, it's sad. However, there is no justification whatsoever for leaving your child alone like that. I suggest you read my blog, I clearly outline the facts.
Secondly, both parents have a medical background, yet? It is not beyond the realms of possibility that the children were given an evening sedative. What if they gave maddie too much? Just because they go to church does not mean they cannot commit bad things.
I would like you to compare pleas of other missing children with that of the McCanns, then compare that of people that have later been found to be guilty? You decide..
And to save you checking my blog, here's a piece I wrote on it...it would be good to hear you version.
I believe to this day what her parents are saying doesn’t add up.
The Time of the Disappearance.
From what we are led to believe Maddie McCann went missing from her parents’ apartment between 9:30 and 10pm on the 3rd May 2007, in Praia da Luz. I have concern for this time, as I believe that this time is only estimated at by the parents and one other. There are no corroborating witnesses to show she was still there prior to this, apart from "a friend / associate Doctor". Who if he said he did not look in on the children, would look bad?
We are led to believe that they visited / checked on their children every 30mins or hour. Is this normal for a professional couple? Did my parents take me abroad and leave me on my own? No, when abroad I was never out of their sight.
The Parent’s Distance from the Apartment
Now some people may say, "well she was left alone whilst they dined only 100 yards away." Do you not realise 100 yards is the minimum length of a football pitch. Do you leave, or know of people that leave the children unattended, “a football pitch away?” I suspect not! Perhaps you've nipped round to neighbour, but certainly not from one end of a football pitch to another. It is 300 feet for Christ’s sake, it's not like the kids were in view or upstairs whilst you were in the garden! Forgetting the abduction itself, if there was a house fire, could they have saved them after "30 minutes" in smoke? No is the answer.
Is it normal for a professional couple, that could have "easily afforded a babysitter", to leave children alone? Why leave the children alone? If they did not do it? Then for someone to take their child, they are clearly guilty of neglect, as routine would have had to have been established prior to an abduction i.e. left alone nightly. Was their routine to leave the children alone? We won’t know because they “now surprisingly enough have top legal advice.”
Abductions predominantly happen on the off chance, not via stalking. A child gets lost left alone for a few minutes, the stranger takes advantage of the situation and the rest is the dreaded fact we often here. I feel that the police should look at all the time after the last "confirmed sighting" in the "day", not that evening.
The Bad Parenting Ruse by saying their child was abducted.
Now most people are thinking, “Look they've admitted to being bad parents by leaving them alone, but they are not murders.” How do we know this? Now explain to me why a paedophile ring would only take one child. Perhaps it's logical to say they would take one? Would they? Would they not have taken two or three? We will never know, but the question has to be asked, "How did someone gain access without showing signs of "forced entry".
The Criticism of the Police
Every time the police screw up people criticise them. Potentially with good reason and with valid argument. The McCann’s were criticising the police 9 hours in to the police search. Bear in mind that this was a full scale police search, which lasted a week. After nine hours, the logical answer is to search locally, so why criticise? What else did they have to go on, bar an estimated time of “loss”?
Motives??
This is where it is somewhat loose. There were European press reports that Maddie was not the offspring off the father (Mr McCann), the product of a prior relationship or affair. Would this cause a mother or father to murder a child? We don’t know.
Why actually go to the lengths of abducting a child from a house. Would the assailant not consider the risks too great? "Break into a house? Steal a child? Not likely!
A fighting fund for a lost child? I have certainly not heard of this, I suspect you as a reader have not either. Perhaps it’s clever thinking on the side of the parents. The fighting fund currently stands at £1,005,000 pounds. The objectives are clearly listed on their website http://www.findmadeleine.com/fund/:
However, I have concern for 1.1.3 of the objective which states:
“1.1.3 To provide support, including financial assistance, to Madeleine’s family.”
Now I am not saying it’s not upsetting for any parent that has lost a child, but can you explain why there is a need for all this funding. All the objectives bar the “support of the family” are covered by criminal laws around the world.
The amount of publicity to date does not necessarily require private investigators, so what other funding issues are there?
All the reactions so far have not been the norm for parents that have left young children alone and lost a child:
1)Minor signs of forced entry, which would not have happened on a "rushed job". Where the assailant gained entrance is supposedly "in view of where they were dining"? Would they have not seen it if they were paying attention?
2) Dining “300 feet away”
3) Criticising the police early on in the search, when lets face it they knew more than the police.
4) The launching of the website 13 days after abduction. Because you’re so focused on the “local search a website will truly assist the locals!” Correct me if I am wrong but was there "talk of the fund being established 5 days prior to this!"? As mentioned on GMTV.
5) Flying to see the pope on day 26 of abduction, because the pope knows where your child is? This must be the first time that parents who have had a child abducted get to see the pope?
6) Travel to Spain, Berlin, Amsterdam, London, the US of A to consult Child Abduction Experts, Scotland to Media Industry Conference. That’s some air miles!!
7) Now I am going to deal with one aspect of their travel separately, "the Moroccan trip". Now even a half intelligent person would know that "if their child had been abducted in Portugal, the most likely route away from it all is via Morocco", just look at a map! Would you have waited some 38 days to raise awareness in Morocco? Instead choosing to go see the pope and other famous celebrities? Now I asked a few people about this, no prompting. Most said, "If it was them, one parent would have been despatched to Morocco immediately to at least focus the international press's eye and raise awareness". Why didn't they? It was not like they were "short of money at this point".
8) The latest report states the police have found traces of Maddie's blood, confirmed via DNA, in the McCann’s car which was hired 25 days after the abduction. Now how did they get there?
9) I want to see the McCann’s investigated like any other family would have been for leaving their children unattended. Will it happen? I fear not!! Evening their local newspaper in England removed requests on its website for their prosecution due to lack of "child care".
10) Body language in all the police reports. Am I so biased and suspect of events like these, that I am reading them wrong? I have had training in reading body language and theirs does not add up!
11) And finally, the phone call to GMTV and not the National Portuguese Press? Which is likely to be more effective? Maddie after all went missing in Portugal, not England.
You decide…Although what is clearly evident throughout all this is there has been "too much glory". Although, arguably this could be classed as keeping the press and public eye focused in the search. Either way, the actions are suspect. The relevance of their actions to finding their missing child are certainly questionable and when behaviours are questionable, do we not have to ask why???????
