I now have scoliosis due to muscle spasm in my back ( I am twice your age ) but it is not as serious as yours. But I used to look after people who had the operations and they were nursed on flip beds that looked a bit like a stretcher that had another panel that was screwed down along your body then the patient was turned over for pressure care. After being on this type of bed for some weeks a Minerva brace was put on that was made out of plaster and later a metal and plastic and padding one was applied. The nursing care for that type of surgery may be quite different now as I worked on that ward 23 years ago. I think the people who go through those operations are very brave.

Nooooooooooooo!
Don't do it.
The only corrective surgery I would have would be for my vision - really poor eyesight. And even then I don't think I want anyone cutting into my eyeball. Surgery should be for the sick and disfigured and that is it. I mean, look at Michael Jackson.

I have thought of it a lot, but I know that I could never afford elective surgery.

Corrective implies there is something wrong, I'm not over happy with the few wrinkles I have - but they are not wrong and I'm happy enough in my own skin to live with them, long winded answer when all I really mean is - no.

I'm always thinking about it, i just don't have the money to do anything about it. a pair of new knee joints and a face lift would do me fine at the moment.
