And I don't mean Minute Maid OJ, I mean steroids. Maybe not currently because of the "strict" rules, but certainly in the past. Since signing his huge 252 million contract in 2000, he has had 7 awesome seasons, injury free.

No way -- he doesn't look any different than when he 1st started with the Mariners. There aren't any obvious tells and he has not been tested positively for anything. Also, when there were people like Schilling who were accused a couple years ago, A-Rod's name did NOT come up. He has never been questioned or accused of anything and usually players who are extremely good are always accused of something and A-Rod has not been accused -- he is just that good. He's got a smooth swing and he has great mechanics.

OK, so you say he is on steroids. Besides being "injury free", what facts do you have to back up your brilliant theory? A-Rod has looked basically the same since he got to the majors, and he doesn't look like a totally different person like SOME players we could name. So, please, enlighten us with an argument and some facts about why A-Rod is on the juice. And no, that link you provided doesn't cut it, it's has stats, not scientific proof or interviews with experts.

Since you are so sure, why not start BEFORE A-Rod signed his huge contract, since he was 40/40 in '98, and also hit over 40 homers in '99 and '2000. Oh, yeah there were those measley 36 he hit at age 21 in '1996. I can blow holes in your theory all day, my clueless friend.

And to the genius who said he averaged 32 homers from 1994-2000, you sir are a moron. He barely played in '94 and '95, having less than 200 total at bats those years. So yeah, if you throw those two years in there, obviously his average HR's will go down. Some people amaze me with their stupidity.
BTW, he's just hit #52, so I guess he must have juiced up again today, huh?

I say he's doing something. If we can accuse all sorts of other baseball players, why not him. Should we say no just because we like him? Or because he's a Yankee? And just because he isn't super large, doesn't mean he's not doing something.

I believe from 1994-2000 he averaged about 32 homers per season. In 2001-2002 he hit, I think it was 55 and 52 or 53 average. That's a big increase.

Bonds had similar increases from 1986-2000 he averaged about 35 and jumped up to 57 during the 2001-2002 season, which some consider two big years in the steroid era.

Arod has played a majority of his career during the steroid era, if you believe it was done during the 1997-2003 seasons. He has hit many homers which could be an indication.

SO it we are going to criticize Bonds, McGwire, Sosa, Ankiel, Troy Glaus, Gary Matthews and other ballplayers, why should Arod get a free ride. Dont' give me the innocent until proven guilty argument, because very few players have been proven guilty of taken steroids or HGH

Why do people always think that any player that is about to surpass someone is taking steriods? Records were set and ment to be broken. Maybe he is just good. Now I don't like A-Rod or the Yankees but I think he is clean and could very well break the record.

They were all on lists you moron. ARod hasn't been on a list yet. And in Seattle, when he "averaged" 32 homeruns a season, he had three 40 homerun seasons. He was also not even in his prime yet, 18-24 and most hitters don't hit their primes until 26-33 or 32.

My opinion: Check Clemens first before A-Rod. Clemens has been rumored all along - - why do you think he didn't sign until 2 months into the season? - to escape 'roids testing during spring training, that's why>

Get real. Alex Rodriguez is probably one of the few good guys left in the game.
As much as I dislike the yankees, you have to respect players who do it naturally and with such talent.

(Plus i like the way he strikes out with the bases loaded in october).
