Do they? I assume you mean why do they suddenly appear in the area where you are. Birds migrate in pretty fixed patterns. It would take something drastic to alter their migration patterns. The birds that have "suddenly" appeared in your back yard, block, wherever, also suddenly appeared in another neighborhood, town not far from you a day or so earlier. They have been travelling a long time and from a long way off. Your neighborhood is just another of their "old haunts". A stop on the trip north or south. There are those who come to stay also. Your back yard or your neighbor's may be an old nesting area for some species. There probably won't be many "long term renters". They will guard their nesting area from others with great aggressiveness. You may not know a "bird fight" even if you see one. It is very subtle. You may just think that birds are "fluttering about" and chirping louder than usual. But you may be seeing a real battle. Birds fight by maneuvering. It is a display of numbers. "OK, you guys, check us out. We are numerous. You want a piece of us? Think twice!" Most will stay only long enough to mate, build a nest, and raise a fledge. They will then move on. They have a "date" somewhere else. They are constantly on the move. Hope this helped.>>>>> And give your little friends the "bird" from me. It's no shame to be ignorant if you can't help it, but why advertize it? It is not something to bragg about either.

Why do birds suddenly appear
Every time you are near?
Just like me, they long to be
Close to you.

Why do stars fall down from the sky
Every time you walk by?
Just like me, they long to be
Close to you.

On the day that you were born
The angels got together
And decided to create a dream come true
So they sprinkled moon dust in your hair of gold
And starlight in your eyes of blue.

That is why all the girls in town
Follow you all around.
Just like me, they long to be
Close to you.

On the day that you were born
The angels got together
And decided to create a dream come true
So they sprinkled moon dust in your hair of gold
And starlight in your eyes of blue.

That is why all the girls in town
Follow you all around.
Just like me, they long to be
Close to you.
Just like me (Just like me)
They long to be
Close to you.

Wahhhhhhhhhhh, close to you.
Wahhhhhhhhhhh, close to you.
Hahhhhhhhhhhh, close to you.
Lahhhhhhhhhhh, close to you.
