Yes, I live close to Misdo (Mister Donut) and they have all type of donuts, and muffins, and the place is always busy and full. They have also nice campaigns- get 150 points and get some nice cup or blanket or sth else. The drinks are supreme too! I love the Caffe Au Lait!
Most of my Japanese friends like Old Fashion , and the Pon De Ring series, but I prefer Home Cut and Cheese Muffin.

Very much.

Mister Donut is the big chain store here and they're everywhere.

And Krispy Kreme opened a store in Shinjuku last December. Ever since then there's been a huge lineup to get in. Every time I walk by I wonder why the fark anybody would wait an hour to get a box of extremely sweet donuts.

Yes. The chain Mister Donut is as popular here as Dunkin' Donuts is in the USA. In Tokyo, Krispy Kreme has opened up its flagship store in Shinjuku where lines to buy donuts are usually about one hour or longer.

The answer is yes, if the popularity of Mr. Donut is any indication. Mr. Donut is a huge donut/coffee shop chain in japan. Also, Krispy Kreme just recently opened their first store in Japan, in Tokyo, and the response was huge.
