I'm an American with Polish ancestors. I spent last fall studying in Krakow and living with distant relatives. It was AMAZING. I returned for a week in March.
I spent a semester in Taipei, Taiwan before I came to Poland, and I've traveled all over Europe and Asia. I love to travel, and I've enjoyed almost every place I've visited. Nothing compares to Poland, though. There's something very, very special about it. I felt like I belonged there. I still feel like I belong there! My heart aches to be in Krakow.
The Polish language is the most difficult language I have studied (MUCH more difficult than Mandarin!!), but it is also my favorite to hear and speak. I tried to speak Polish as much as possible, and Polish people were very patient with me. Many people even corrected me when I made a mistake! It was extremely helpful.
My goal is to move to Poland and speak Polish and live as a Polish person.
Also, Polish food is amazing. I loved eating kanapki for śniadanie and kolacja every single day. Żurek z jajkiem i kiełbasą is possibly the best soup on earth. E Wedel Chocolates are delicious. Poland's farmers make excellent cheese, and I wish I could get oscypek and biały ser here in the US!

i'm english and i now live in poland, firstly WOZZY??? what a c**k you are, you're a complete and utter d**k. there are loads of jobs and its the ones who cant be arsed to try hard enough or even worse the dole scrounging chavs that always have a problem with poles back home, anyone who knows polish people in england will tell you that theyre damn hard working, courteous and easy to get along with, they try hard with everything and if the modern generation of brits took a few examples britain could be called great again. ------ sorry i hate narrow minded people. OK where was i? oh yeah, im now living in warsaw, working as a teacher of english and marrying a woman who i have been in contact with for 5 years, we wrote, we emailed - we got engaged (best damn choice i ever made) the country is beautiful beyond belief the food is gorgeous (even the wierd tatar) and the people are mostly nice (women are hot too)

Poland is awesome in history and geography. Krakow is the best, and the mountains are beautiful. Its filled with legends and some places are like centuries old. I go there every year cuz im Polish too. Poles are still fixing buildings and places after the communism, and the jobs are gettin better, but you can blame soviet for the trouble in the first place/

Hi there: Since ive viewed the English vaccumous view point above and the obviously uneducated American one, I have to say that having lived in your country for two years and also both of theirs, its a thumbs up for Poland ( although the two ducks could be used for target practice )and a big two fingers to the yanks and the brits. Robbing your jobs?? Paying tax to your social services more like and when did you serve in the Gulf to support your viewpiont marine-boy. I doubt you could find Iraq on a map

I have visited your country three times and I think it is very beautiful. I especially like the south, Krakow, and around Zakopane. But I couldn't go to the big wildlife park in the east - I want to go there next time.

I'm an American. Most Americans don't have a very well developed opinion about Poland. But I like it. I support the Iraq war and I appreciate you guys supporting it. I think it's because you have a good appreciation of the value of freedom, since you had to live under Soviet rule for so long.
I probably wouldn't want to live in Poland, since it probably has a way to go before it can recover from the economic damage the Soviets did. But I get the impression that it's on the right track.

Too Woozy........I bet you wouldn't do those dirty, low paying jobs that polish people doing. You are talking about polish people taking your jobs, but you don't talk about how hard and long hours they work and in what conditions. I bet you are way to comfortable and lazy english "gentleman" to work like them.
