It was mostly fans that hate the SEC and LSU. If you look at majority of those questions they are USC fans.
If LSU is not #1 in the polls this week then everyone knows how much the media loves USC.

A lot of people want to rallyaround VT for the tragedy that took place in April. Plus, they are coming off a good season. I never thought they could beat LSU though. LSU is too talented. I don't know that the SEC is certainly the best conference, but they are one of the top two or three every year. They are like every other conference, one or two really good teams each year with a few other good teams and some bottom feeders.

If LSU wins out, they will jump BC. I don't see BC winning out, but even still. The two best teams in the country should play in the national championship game. Someone can't honestly say that BC would keep the score even close 9 out of 10 games against LSU (hypothetically). It's a fallacy to assume that A beats B and B beats C so A is better than C, or any line of thinking like that. But looking at the offensive talent and defensive talent that LSU has and comparing it with BC, the level of play really doesn't compare.

LSU has looked impressive, but don't get too haughty. Early on this season we have seen so many upsets and near upsets. Michigan, the winningest team in college football history, was knocked off by the back-to-back D1-AA National Champs out of Boone, NC and crushed by a mid-tier team in the Pac-10 in Oregon. Texas has had two close calls with little old Ark. St. and TCU yesterday. Also, that Big East looks like it is finally starting to become a legitimate conference with teams like USF amongst others. UNLV gave Wisconsin a scare, and there were many more near upsets.
The gap between the major BCS conferences and the smaller conferences are starting to close. The invincibility of a USC or LSU is waning the more such upsets and near upsets happen this season. Within LSU's own conference teams like Florida and South Carolina certainly look pretty dangerous as do Alabama, UT, Arkansas, and Georgia.

I thought Va Tech's defense would keep it closer than that, but I still expected LSU to win.
The offense looked fantastic.
And don't drink too much of that SEC Kool-Aid because the Pac-10 and the Big East are looking very, VERY solid right now.

FUSC....just wanted to say that...I think I'll say it again...FUSC...it's so much fun. Nah, I'm thinking Nat'l Championship this year. This is the best LSU team I've ever seen. Even better than when we won the title back in '03....notice I didn't say co-title. It's funny how when they talk about USC, the media says champions in '03, but when they talk about LSU, they say co-champions, even though we won our conference, and they didn't, and we played OK in the sugar bowl and won it. I hope they hype them all year and we get to play them in the NCAA championship game and wipe booty's face all over the field. HA HA HA!!!
GEAUX TIGERS!!!!
'03 National Champions

I guess because you actually have to play four quarters of football, just ask the wolverines. It wasnt probable that the hokies would win ,but it was sure possible, if you watch college football you would realize this as does Les Miles.
