are you packed already? You can never fight eviction

The grounds for appeal may vary from state-to-state, but generally the only way to attack the judgment and stay your eviction is if there were procedural errors in the way the case was handled or if the judge was flat wrong about the law that applied.

You cannot appeal the judges decision of the facts. That is, if he found your landlord more believable than you, you cannot challenge that on appeal.

You will have an extremely short time to file notice of your appeal and request a stay of execution of the eviction order. And, to halt the eviction, you may be required to post a bond with the court when you file the appeal.

All of this will be very difficult without a lawyer. If you cannot afford to hire one immediately, you should spend your energy preparing to move.

Pack your bags. There's not much you will be able to do.

Even if you could find some grounds to appeal, the appeal would be heard *after* you are evicted.

Unfortunatley..the laws usually favor the land lord depending on the situation of corse. I would suggest going to your courthouse and looking in the law library for land lord tenant laws and see what it has to say about your situation. Maybe also call the LEGIAL AIDE in your area.

Good luck

If you have no lease or rental agreement, there are no legal grounds for appeal. You do not own the dwelling so you have no legal rights.
