I was in Australia when Lyndi Chamberlain, was accused of killing her daughter, while on a camping trip to Ayers Rock. She was sentenced and spent a long time in jail. It broke up her marriage.
Only to find, that years later an old man came foreword with evidence that a dingo had killed the baby.
It rocked the Australian legal system too.
It was not wise for them to leave their children in an apartment alone, no matter how far away the restaurant was
But people are innocent until proven guilty. I have to read up more on the case. I have only seen a bit on the news. But the interview with Lyndi Chamberlain was very interesting. She said, when the public want answers the pressure is terrible.

I know it's jumping on the bandwagon but I haven't answered a McCann question in *ages* :)
The mature answer would be "time will tell".
My honest naughty schoolboy answer is that from the beginning I have thought the whole situation odder than Marco Pierre White doing grief counselling. Also they seem to be heading back to the UK very quickly don't they?

No, I would be defending them too if I thought for the past 4 months I was mentally conned, what a let down. I would rather be perceived as cynical than walk around blindfolded.

Hope I'm never charged with anything, and you're on the jury. You are obviously the retard, as you are giving a knee jerk reaction to supposition and innuendo, without being in full possession of the facts.
I am not in possession of the facts, so am not in a position to say one way or the other as to whether they are guilty of their daughter's disappearance/death (other than the stupidity of leaving her alone). I'm sorry if this sounds like sitting on the fence, but that's the way it has to be when you're only staring into the goldfish bowl, and not swimming in the tank!

I don't support them, I think they were wrong for neglecting their children, but I'm firmly on the fence and undecided when it comes to whether they played any part in her death.

Seriously though who the hell are you to judge when you think its OK to smoke joints when the kids have gone to bed if there was a problem your to wasted to help them that's being irresponsible and in my opnion just as bad as them if anything went wrong. Grow up, spend your time with your kids instead of wasting it on here with stupid questions and when your a perfect parent only then do you have the right to judge others.

I have to say, some of their views amaze me. I can only hope these people don't have children. I don't have kids but even I can work out that leaving three babies under the age of three alone is a selfish, nasty, irresponsible, unbelievably stupid thing to do. It worries me that some people can justify this behaviour as a simple "mistake".
