Its no different than the movies or a action TV show.
In fact in a sense it is more real than your average TV show...yet it is "fake".
Put it this way. Go rent some action movie - maybe The Terminator for instance. The actors dont do the stunts, they have stuntmen do the stunts for them. The actors do hundreds of takes to get certain scenes just right.
In wrestling the "actors" or wrestlers do their own stunts and they do it the first time right everytime. There is no cut-do over in wrestling. It has to be done right the first time everytime because its a live event.
Yes, the outcome is staged, but its not as fake as some seem.
People crack me up who say wrestling is fake, then talk about how tough a certain actor is. As if the movies are real............

I will assume that you are referring to "professional" wrestling so yes it is fake. The matches are pre-determined for winner and script. Most of the moves are faked. Watch closely. A wrestler being slammed into the stairs will hit it with their hands or feet and hold their head. Their head never touches. Same with many other moves. It is strictly entertainment same as watching a movie but is performed live.

It is fake...the practice for it weeks in advance...and know who is going to win the match even before the enter the ring...Some of it is real like getting hit with the chairs..even though they are designed to collapse on impact..still a chair..I always called wrestling soap operas for men.

Fake in the sense that it is all orchestrated. However there are a lot of challenges to being a wrestler that are not of the physical sort AND they do get hurt a lot even if it is orchestrated

Depends on your definition of "fake." It is extremely physical and choreographed and takes great skill to pull off some of the moves they do. Who wins and who loses, for sure, is already pre determined, all part of the show, and to get you tuned in for next week!!

Most of the time its staged. Fall 20 feet of the top of a hell in the cell cage through a table like mankind did you know that had to hurt.

It's choreographed and predetermined who will win. But the slamming, hitting and kicking is all real, but they do it without enough force to hurt them as much. I have done backyard wrestling for 8 years and i have my share of scars and bruises, so trust me, i know!
Hope this helps! Go WWE!!!

no it is scripted, the matches are planned, but here's an idea, punch whoever told you in the face and ask them if it is fake
