i got married at city hall in ny. i'm wondering how t ogo about filing a divorce? best is a lawyer or what? thank you

no kids. no house. no property really. i just want a divorce. he cheated on me and hit me many times.

Call a divorce attorney - he'll walk you through the steps and make sure you get what you need through the system.

Well you could go down to the court house see what can be done. Best to get a lawyer. Just remember it takes two. My biggest question is do you cheat on him first? He problem cheated on you for a reason. He probably hit you because you keep you mouth going about the him cheating on you. I had a wife like that even after ten years divorce from her she still ***** at me. Until I told her to shut up because it was as more her fault as mine. You better grow up quite being a Little girl

Find a lawyer and tell them you want to file for a divorce. They draw up divorce papers, and have them served on your spouse.

hello ang go to your local court and file for your divorce through the clerk of court there dear and very good luck and for him hitting you that wasnt very nice of your hubby to do that either sweetie hey you can be a very good friend of mine if you would like to be dear

if you have house kids and things that need to be divided a lawyer is the best.if there is nothing involved you can represent your self if you want. but if it were me i would have a lawer if you can afford one
