Yes, there is no question that it is; however, if it alone is the glue between two people, chances are the relationship will eventually confront problems. You should not only be romantically drawn to your partner; your partner should also be your best friend. Believe me there will be times in life when the romance wanes but if you can cling to the friendship there is alway room for the romance to be rekindled.
