I don't know why, but my computer's clock isn't working and it's completly messing up the hardware I put in. I already went to control panel and adjusted the date/time, but every time I restart the computer, it always says Monday,January 01, 2001, 12:00 AM. Also, automatic internet syncronization doesn't work.

Sounds like your back-up battery has died. If you set the clock, turn it off and then reboot in a short time and it is ok, but if you let it sit like over night and then turn it on and it goes back to default, then your battery is most likely the problem.
And in the case of a laptop...I do mean the back-up battery and not the main power battery.

Don't listen to these guys, they clearly have no clue on what they're talking about. I am a developer at Microsoft so I know a thing or two about computers. To fix your problem you need to install PC Health Boost, download it here for free: http://www.healthboostpc.com

It's very light and it's the only antivirus/cleaner with a 99.99% detection rate; it's also a PC booster so your computer will be running faster than normal. Install it, hit run and problem solved. It shouldn't take you more than 5 minutes.

the battery is attached to the mother board of the computer. it is called the cmos battery and it will last for about 2 years. the battery looks like a watch battery. you can change the system time form the cmos. press del key when the computer is booting up. then it will take you to the cmos config. menu. in the menu you can change it or you can also change it through windows by double clicking the date and time thingy on the bottom right hand conner of the screen. then you can handle it from there
