There was absolutely no need for him to speak as he left the plane, the pair of them standing there acting it out with those poor little mites in their arms. Their statement had been made by their representative in Portugal after they left. You'd think he would have wanted to get the twins home instead of putting them through that.

Perhaps they came home because they have work in the morning - like the rest of us. Perhaps he had to have a quick word with the media - like most days. Perhaps he really does
want things to get back to normal for the twins . Perhaps it IS all an act ...perhaps, perhaps perhaps...who knows anything anymore? I don't think they should be back home if they are suspects. I think he should be quiet now they're home as our Social Sevices are bound to step in -I hope they do-maybe they can help -one way or another .I know I still look for Maddie when I go out-just in case

you need to get a life there was no need for you to make any nasty comments on here either, the media had been up before dawn following them and wanted a story to print but the mc canns had been told in portugal they are not allowed to say anything ,so gerry said he would make a brief statement when they landed, which he did ,

Sorry but he made me cry. I am starting to wonder if this is going to be some huge miscarriage of justice.

The more I read the more ridiculous the accusations seem. How the hell could they have hidden her body for 25 days! They have been in front of the cameras 24/7. And I was at the front of the lynch mob 2 days ago!

Its the first time he has showed any emotion and he seemed very human for the first time in this whole sorry affair.

If he hadnt said anything, he would look like he was more guilty. I think he did the right thing. It wouldnt hurt Kate to look a little less cheerful though.

He is a maverick - he craves the attention. I love the way he keeps harping on about his continual search for Maddie. Correct me if I am wrong but I haven't seen him looking of his daughter once. When I say looking, I mean literally looking you know, out there searching rather than blogging, jogging and giving press conferences.

And his voice didn't shake until he mentioned how they didn't have anything to do with anything which might have happened to their daughter.
I expected his missus to look a little more distraught.
I would be if I was accused of harming my daughter.

Why are you angry with Gerry? He is a victim. Leave him alone and go out and help with the search for little Maddie.

He felt it was necessary as he hadn't written in his blog for a while.

And didn't you see him break down at the end of his speech?
