My bullk maill seems to get at least two or three a day. Of course, I don't open them but it is a little irritating. It is always someone different. Just wondering if this was happening to you as well. ??

I do delete without opening myself as I stated. I am receiving one on a weekly basis from Penneys giving me a confirmation number. That one really gets me. Before that, it was free meals to Applebees.

This is an edit, because I could not get up there and rephrase my question.I am very glad I have the Yahoo filters. Unfortunately, these bulk mail people are very clever and will rephrase. I check all and delete all. But, still, some get through.
I am wondering if it has anything to do with the fact that Yahoo has advertising now. What about that? How do you feel about that one? There is one in particular that continues to blink and blink.

Yes, I have received several in regards to ordering medication from another country.
The one that really freaks me out is the advertisement where the lady's face is all wrinkled, then the thing goes across her face and she looks to be about 17, then it goes back to the wrinkled face. If they want me to buy a product, it won't be by freaking me out!

EVERYBODY gets this spam, and "you have won the national lottery, " and "some nigerian died and has 100,000,000 in a bank account," and "Viagra for 1/3rd the cost" ....you name it, it ends up in our mail boxes..
I use Yahoo BECAUSE they have incredible spam filters! But no program can do it all. Once you mark a piece of mail "spam," it usually blocks that address...IF enough spam is reported from that address, the address is considered a spammer and that ends that with Yahoo.
Without Yahoo Spam filters, I get about 600 emails a day on my business address...making email useless. WITH spam filters on here at Yahoo, the spam comes down to 2-5 a day...that I can deal with.

I had 4255 spam emails in my bulk folder this morning. I just delete the entire thing. Sometimes wonder if I am accidentally deleting mails from friends but still, no time to go through all that junk.

Oh yeah all the time. It's so annoying, I agree. My mom even gets them too. She gets more than I do because she doesn't have a bulk mail folder. I think she probably gets about fifty a day.

The real question is, how can we stop getting all that spam!

Well the bulk mail is where yahoo puts the mail that they suspect is SPAM! so thats why you see it. Either empty or go to you bulk options and have yahoo delete tham for you everyday. Eitheir way I dont even look at my bulk...its useless and could cost me a virus.

I don't know. I always send spam off into the great beyond without opening it.

Actually, it's my own fault. I love Olive Garden, and one of the on-screen ads said, "If you can guess who this actor is, you get two free dinners at Olive Garden."

After repeated screens of questions, I decided it wasn't worth it, and I backed out, but not soon enough, apparently.

They get away with it because they come in picture format, no text to set off the spam filters.

If you have a security service, you should be able to block these by going into the "advanced" settings and adding whatever words these emails DO have to your "blocked" list.
