I wouldn't hold my breath. They just have to win six games to be bowl elegible.
Starting 0-2 or 0-3 isn't a definite death penalty. And since Michigan will play Notre Dame next week, people are dubbing it the Loser's bowl.

There are probably enough wins on Michigan's schedule to let it slink into a bowl game. Notre Dame, Northwestern, Illinois, Purdue, Michigan State, Minnesota, Eastern Michigan (and who knows Penn State and Ohio State may not be that tough). It would be a stinker bowl game, perhaps against Vanderbilt or Auburn, but Michigan will cash the check anyway.

The loss to Appalachian State will definitely linger in the minds of most for the remainder of the season. Oregon, although unranked going into this week does have the potential to become ranked in the near future......
The bottom line though is that next week the two perennial powerhouses, who are currently 0-2, Notre Dame and Michigan will face off in a game that could turn one of their seasons around. The winner of next weeks game has a chance to play in a decent bowl game, the loser may have to wait it out for next year.

Considering how many bowl games there are, probably not. Should they get invited? No, but half of the teams that play in bowl games don't deserve to be!
They need to either get a plaoff system or eliminate many bowl games!

I don't see them winning 6 games, I think too much credit is given here. So, no -I don't see them getting a bowl. Also consider what type of long term effect this has on their recruiting classes. Who wants to play for a D1 school who can't beat Appalachian State and has no head coaching commitments...

6-5 will get Michigan a bowl bid. Accepting a bowl bid for their sorry a-sses will be the question.
