The first step to the choice will be the primaries and then, if Romney is still in the race, the general election. The RNC, by the way has not endorsed any one candidate so far and they do not elect the president. Though I would not personally vote for Mitt Romney, I don't see him as delusional, or a godfreak.

Mit Romney is unelectable.
The Buckle of the Bible Belt will reject him for being a Mormon.
The deep south is the Republican base, if they lose those voters, then the general election will be a mere formality.
