Would you buy them? I wouldn't. Not until China gets its act together and stops making hazardous products--and SELLING them to consumers. As if we wouldn't find out...
(A seriously stupid move on their part.)

Here is a small list of their harmful products:
1) Cat food. -- poisonous wheat.
2) Dog food. -- poisonous wheat.
3) Automobile tires. -- poorly made.
4) Toys for children. -- lead paint.
5) Toothpaste. -- poisonous chemical additive.
6) Coffee mugs. -- lead paint. (nissan bought them)

Unfortunately, America is addicted to cheap cr*p. A few might make some crusade for a few months to boycott, ban, or stop using them. I don't think most have the discipline to do so indefinitely. This is the slippery slope we started on when we allowed big corporations to aggressively start importing products and exporting jobs.

First off, conservatives don't ship jobs overseas. Corporations might, some might be controlled by conservatives, but plenty are controlled by liberals too. In most cases, manufacturing things that have low profit margins is better in China. Some companies willingly choose to stay here and make it work. You don't know that the American company manufactures them cheaper than China. It might cost the Chinese company only $0.10 to make a flag, they sell it for a dollar. It might cost the American company $0.15 to make a flag, they sell it for about $0.20. Since their price is lower, the fact that their profit margin is lower doesn't matter, the smart consumer would select that flag. Stop being so black and white and making assumptions that don't hold water.

It is bad enough that tainted goods are being made at all. It is even worse that the Consumer Product Safety Commission is not testing these products better. Tainted food and toys and the rest should not be entering the country.

I quit buying their products in protest 2 years ago. Long before the problems started showing up.

Same problems we have here in the U.S.
I buy Chinese. I buy American. I buy Italian. I buy Korean, Vietnamese, and so on and so forth.
We take a chance on ANYTHING we buy to tell the truth.......

By the way
there are hundreds of thousands of houses, apartments, coops, etc. which get away with using lead-based paint. not to mention - even as we know its dangers, the use of asbestos.
We need to clean up our OWN.
