Who really knows? Now-adays most things seem to be proclaimed to either cause or prevent/cure cancer.
Use your head (don't smoke, get fat, etc..) and forget about cancer.

Omega 3(fish oil tablet) is a good source of fish oil for your body, but like anything you take, take in moderation.Once a week should be suffice. It is known by the Japanese that eating fish 3 times a week ,makes you live a little longer and healthier. My own experience was taking it for a period of time to help fight a skin problem that my doctors couldn't figure out or diagnose.I found out i had a skin reproduction problem,my skin was reproducing 2 times as fast as normal, making my old skin stay while new skin cell reproducing under it,causing little red chaffing and pimples,(usually skin reproduce about 1 every 7 days, mine was reproducing once every 4 days).Well i read in a health magazine to try it for skin problems.I did ,and it worked, but the trick is to slowly ween yourself off of it so your body knows that it has to go back to normal reproduction itself.

There are indications that this might be true, but no solid proof.
