My mom has been living with her boyfriend for about 15 or 20 years and he dropped dead last night and Iam wondering what rights does she have concerning his property and burial stuff???

Unless he had a will leaving her his property, his next of kin would probably get it all. No "common law" marriages in California or most other States anymore.

No common law marriage in California.

Concerning boyfriend's property, your mom is entitled to whatever her boyfriend left her in his will. If there was no will, boyfriend's next-of-kin will get everything.

Oh, your mom is entitled to any accounts in which she was named as a beneficiary, or joint account holder.
