Ewww..... hate it when that happens.....Not a Mopar guy, but 3/8 x 16 is a popular bolt / thread combo. The parts stores have a HELP! section , and most of them offer starter bolts for different makes of vehicles. Be sure to get standard and not metric threads, as an engine of that vintage is more than likely not metric.

They should be 7/16 course thread IIRC. One is usually a stud with a nut and the other is just a bolt. The steel plate between the engine and trans centers the starter so they don't need to be anything special just the right length. You can use 2 bolts, it isn't critical to have the stud.

A dealer or parts store should carry them or be able to give you a size---you should use special starter bolts and not regular bolts as they have special knurling on them to keep them from coming out. If it's an emergency and you're not near a store, you can use regular bolts of the same size and length but make sure to use lockwashers or threadlocking liquid to keep the bolts from backing out....just remove the starter and measure the bolt hole lengths and add one inch---should be a 3/8 or 1/2 inch diameter bolt...coarse thread....not metric.

I would just use zip ties or electric fence wire to hold the starter in place.

Try a dealer and use lock washers.
