it's not genuine...

To Avoid scams here is what i tell people...
All spam emails/unsolicited phone calls/letters and faxes are scams.
As a general rule - ANYTHING involving Western Union/money gram = Scam.
my Advice: Don't deal with anyone out of state or from a foreign country or Accept or cash checks from strangers and never use wire/bank transfer services.. you risk losing your $$ and your mind.
Remember, if it sounds too good
to be true, it probably is! NEVER(ever) give out your personal information to strangers online or offline! Always be on guard.

Any time I see Nigeria alarms go off. Many regional job that are offered require you to accept payments and send them as a wire transfer to headquarters. The checks end up bouncing.

I would contact Texaco locally and see if the job is legitimate.

Did you submit a resume for that job? Or have you given your resume to a headhunter to help find you a job? Are you qualified to be a regional project manager for a major oil company? If you say no to these questions, then it's a scam.

No.

If it refers to a Texas Oil Company, find the company's headquarters phone number. Call them.

I received an offer to send money in exchange for a cashiers check on a US bank. I made them send me an image of the cashiers check. When I called the bank it was written on they confirmed that it was a bogus cashiers check.

If you are qualified to manage oil company projects, can't you find local work?

Good luck,

Did you send them your resume? Did this come in your e-mail? Did you win the lottery too? What do you have to pay to accept this position?
