Do they have children? You can get a hold of his co. Have her call the base and talk to the head in command. They might have answer for her. If not then she needs to go down and file through the state for child support and they will take it out of his wages....

I am a veteran and all she has to do is call his commanding officer at his base and report this. He is abandoning her and the military doesn't take this lightly. She will have to prove that she does not have any access to his paycheck though and that he has not deposited anything into her account. Tell her not to say anything to him about this either because as soon as she does he will give her money and it most likely won't be enough to live on. I had a friend go through the same thing and she got results by contacting the base. Good Luck!!!

If all else fails, there's always the JAG office. As a dependent she has access to legal counsel for free....it doesn't even have to be a jag office at the same base...i.e. Say he's been sent TDY to a base on the west coast and she's at a base on the east coast. Have her contact the JAG office at the closest base and call them.....they'll tell her what she can legally do and no do.

Write a very polite letter his 1st Sgt/Commadander! Don't go bashing him, "just the facts", and send it to his Post. This will give him an oppurtunity to meet 1 or both of them!! They will EXPLAIN IT TO HIM!!!! But you'll hear from him, before you hear from them!! He'll call that nite!!

Have her call his CO. The military does not like when soldiers refuse to take care of their families.

Joyce-- she reports this to no one... There is no one to report it too...They are both adults and she can get a job and support her self... Just like before they got married.... Just because your Husband supported you and did NOT work -- it is different world -- this is 2007... He knows his wife and she probably spends money like water and spends money foolishly.....There is no one to report too... ...
