The Republican Party includes people from across the political spectrum so it shouldn't be surprising that Paul is one. As for his candidacy, He seems kind of out there to me, I don't think I could support him.................

He's got some good ideas, but he presents them quite badly. Yes, he's a Libertarian, but since Libertarians run into legislated roadblocks running for anything in most states, he runs as a Republican.
My problem with him is that he doesn't present his ideas by starting with the facts, and working logically through to his conclusions, and prefers to start with a shocking conclusion, followed by facts and logic. This doesn't generally work, because the conclusions are so shocking, no one pays any attention to the logic.
For example, say it were the year 1400, and I said "The world is round!" Everyone would laugh, other than those that would be calling for my beheading. However, if I observed the difference in the length of shadows of two sticks of equal height spaced a thousand miles apart, measured at the same time, and showed through accepted geometric principles how that indicated that the earth were not flat, I might just change someone's mind.

Ron Paul will probably not get the nomination for the Republicans. I dont know if the group could get behind him if he did get the nomination. Though i would vote for him over Hillary, and he may run on a libertarian ticket if he decides he needs to continue to run if he was losing...

He's only doing that because U.S. politics and the voting system is only set up to be a 2 party system. He has no chance winning the election with any other party name than either Democrat or Republican. Since the majority of the Libertarian base is ex-republicans and his views are closer to "True Conservatives" (vs NeoConservatives), this is his best shot.
I'm a Democrat who would vote for him, because I don't know of any better Dem running with better plans than his.

Many republicans and democrats were libertarians as opposed to authoritarians in the first half of US history. The reason authoritarianism has risen consistently is the driving force of easy money. Follow the money. As the influence of money on government was proven to provide thousands of percent return on the investment, politicians and media succumb to the temptation to trade in our liberty.

it form of feels that all and sundry around the political spectrum is undesirable-mouthing Ron Paul. what's humorous to me is that the community AM radio personalities attempt to cajole the listening aim industry that Ron is the devil. Receint polls practice that Congressional and Presidental approvals are very low. i think of that the powers that be are afraid of dropping their jobs.

I heard that if he doesn't get the Republican nomination, he will run as an independent. That will take away a lot of Republican votes.
I'm a Constitutionalist and he has my vote.
My name is John Smith, and I approve this message.
