How can i turn a Job Corps Computer into a Home Computer cause just about every site is block using Websense?

i cant get on any site with Websense enterprise, i really need ideas or something because im at Jobcorps an its very boring here an mostly all the good fun sites are Block an some proxys arent working it takes me streight to that Websense block screen

If they've configured their Websense system well, you probably won't get around it. They keep track of sites allowing anonymous proxies to the Internet, so that's not an option. They know how to handle Google's cached sites and translated sites. So, the typical ways to get around a content filter do not work. The only way I'd go about it is by discussing what your limitations are with the System Administrator or simply not trying to get around it if you're not supposed to be doing what you are attempting to do.

Remember, content filters are used to protect the company from getting sued because someone was offended by web sites they saw a co-worker using, that popped up on their screen, and prevent malware from getting into the network from infected sites. You might call this last one the "joke pool," as that's the typical way that this happens. Someone receives a funny or "cute" joke that they think that others need to see as well, they send it to all of their buddies and they go to that site. Meanwhile, the site plants a Trojan horse or some other nasty on their computer system and now they're stuck cleaning it up.

Anyway, remember, the company is not just trying to ruin all of your fun. They're protecting themselves from legal action, trying to have more productive workers, and not spend a fortune needing to upgrade their circuits and connectivity because everyone is busy YouTubing all day... It's done in their best interests, whether you like it or not. If it's just too much for you, maybe you should look for another place to access the Internet from...

I'd talk to the administrator of the system about allowing greater access to the Internet. Since Job Corps serves ages 16-24, you need to look out for the younger students.

Perhaps the blocking does not have to be quite so severe.

once you have babies interior the abode blockading the porn web content isn't even a question, you purely do it! We had 8 babies interior the abode and none of them have been allowed to observe porn in any respect.
