Hi wondered if anyone can help!

I've installed my netgear wireless router. My laptop already has a wireless card to enable connection and is finding it on the list of available connections but is asking for a network key. Anyone know what this is??

If I go to configure I can select 'enter key for me' but I press connect and the internet will still not display!

Please help x

The easiest way to find your network key is to connect to the netgear with a wired computer. Log into the router and set your own key! The procedure is listed in the netgear manual or on the website. Its under the "wireless security settings" on the routers web pages.

Netgear routers can be accessed from a web browser usually on
http://192.168.1.1 However some models may vary, check the netgear site or quick installation guide for your model.

The network key is often on a sticker on the base of the router

it will take you yo the router's pages were you will find the key..

Or they may have it printed on the bottom of the router.
