Just what exactly has America in general, and the Bush admin in particular, done to get a negative image in the world? If you'll notice, the French elected a leader that agrees with the leadership of America. Germany is now retreated from it's ant-American litany. The only ones in the world that think America's image has become negative are the ones that want American leadership to fall by the wayside (Iran, Syria, Russia, Venezuela), and those in our own country that wish to help them.
Some of you say impeach the bum, and Bush lied to get us into this war, search the internet yourselves, don't just listen to the far left rants against Bush and the republicans. Study the subject and you'll find more evidence supporting the Bush admin. decisions for going after Iraq than evidence against it.
I know I'll get more thumbs down than up for this post, but if you'll research the reports for the uranium from Niger, the Wilson report, CIA testimony, and pay attention to the dates, that will throw doubts on the "Bush lied" theories.

We have never had a positive image every where in the world.

There have always been evil, bad, or some other name to at least a few countries.

I do agree that there needs to be a few changes.
First, we must finish what we started in Iraq. I'm tired of being the nation that cuts and runs when the politicians lose their nerve when things are rough.
second, make it illegal for the media to sensationalize the news and only print the horror stories. Make sure they print facts again and not thier opinion. I could care less about their opinion.
Thats just a start, I could mention a lot more but it would make this post a novel.

America can become a positive force in the world once again by:

- Respecting other nations and people's rights
- Learning some measure of self-control regarding energy
- Stop trying to bully it's way through the world
- Stop idolizing itself as the best thing since sliced bread
- Start caring about it's citizens rather than letting them fend for themselves like animals.

Consider, when the world turns a blind eye to the terror and indiscriminate slaughter of innocent men, women and children perpetrated by the Islamic terrorists and refuses to confront this enemy, I honestly believe that it is the world, and not the United States, which needs to re-access its policies and commitments in order to regain a positive image in the whole scheme of things again.
Albert Einstein said it best:
"The world is a dangerous place, not because of those who do evil, but because of those who look on and do nothing."

i think of what's happening are the end results of three or greater a protracted time coming to fruition. i've got faith it could have began interior the early Seventies with the oil problems that hit North u . s . a . of america and different continents. at that factor a protracted enjoying checklist (331/3) improve right into a thick and powerful disc, and in one day it grew to become right into a low priced vinyl that warped somewhat fairly. via oil costs going severe. it fairly is just one small occasion of what i think of could have been the begining of the tip as we knew it economically. considering that then it has snowballed and grown greater, and greater suitable and that i do no longer think of that those days are the tip of it. i think of that we are going to get into greater hardship interior the subsequent 2 a protracted time and we are in for a protracted haul. i'm in my mid 1950s, i'm in Canada, i'm no longer likely to be here for the actual stressful economics, and the rogue economic equipment it fairly is finally going to engulf the planet. yet i'm asserting that the states isn't yet a nil.33 international u . s . a ., nor will this is for a protracted time IF it fairly is to ensue. What i'm going to assert is that my nephews, and grandnieces are going to go through a hell of a lot interior the arriving six a protracted time. Inflation, recessions, international warming, massive shortages of water, possibe international melancholy, inferior economics to what i've got grown up in and ultimately .... no good foodstuff .... foodstuff for helpful, yet purely abdomen filler and not actual foodstuff that kills the starvation, or feeds the physique. Bush isn't to blame for this, he could have helped one hell of a lot greater if he had some know-how and perception after September 11th, and did no longer bypass to war, yet hindsight is 20/20 isn't it? The economic equipment in North u . s . a . of america is cooling off, we are in a submit to industry, and it will turn bullish yet no longer like it used to. we are greater powerful off to start looking after ourselves now, as a manner to stay on the destiny.

Actually Einstein said:

"He who joyfully marches to music in rank and file has already earned my contempt. He has been given a large brain by mistake, since for him the spinal cord would fully suffice. This disgrace to civilization should be done away with at once. Heroism at command, senseless brutality, deplorable love-of-country stance, how violently I hate all this, how despicable an ignoreable war is; I would rather be torn to shreds than be a part of so base an action! It is my conviction that killing under the cloak of war is nothing but an act of murder." -- Albert Einstein

Absolutely!
Getting rid of those in office is something that solves itself over time. If you don't like those in place now, well, they'll be gone soon and we do have the power of the vote.
Most of all though, we have created a country where people of different cultural backgrounds and religions can find a way to get along. Before you start listing the ways we don't, find a country that does it better. We continue to improve even with our shortcomings. No we aren't perfect but we don't suffer from the centuries old tribal hate that has been continued in other parts of the world. Serbs and Croats, Anglos and Saxons, Hebrews and Arabs. It goes back forever.
Those groups traditionally pass their hate down from generation to generation. Here, we learn to tolerate differences.

Be more disciplined. Be more educated. Shape up physically. Stand up for each other as Americans rather than constantly bad mouth and slam the U.S and it's leader. How can we expect the rest of the world to respect us when we don't even respect ourselves?
