If you'll notice, the French elected a leader that agrees with the leadership of America. Germany is now retreated from it's ant-American litany. The only ones in the world that think America's image has become negative are the ones that want American leadership to fall by the wayside (Iran, Syria, Russia, Venezuela), and those in our own country that wish to help them.

I know I'll get more thumbs down than up for this post, but if you'll research the reports for the uranium from Niger, the Wilson report, CIA testimony, and pay attention to the dates, that will throw doubts on the "Bush lied" theories.

I do agree that there needs to be a few changes.
First, we must finish what we started in Iraq. I'm tired of being the nation that cuts and runs when the politicians lose their nerve when things are rough.
second, make it illegal for the media to sensationalize the news and only print the horror stories. Make sure they print facts again and not thier opinion. I could care less about their opinion.

Getting rid of those in office is something that solves itself over time. If you don't like those in place now, well, they'll be gone soon and we do have the power of the vote.
Most of all though, we have created a country where people of different cultural backgrounds and religions can find a way to get along. Before you start listing the ways we don't, find a country that does it better. We continue to improve even with our shortcomings. No we aren't perfect but we don't suffer from the centuries old tribal hate that has been continued in other parts of the world. Serbs and Croats, Anglos and Saxons, Hebrews and Arabs.
