Most colleges have their applications online these days, along with instructions for how to apply. If a school doesn't mention their willingness to accept a student with a GED, you can get a phone number or email address from an admissions counselor on that same website.

Well, the first thing you should do is get in touch with an admissions counselor at the college of your choice and see what requirements they have to get into school.

I work at a university and (at our university), if a student has been out of high school for more than 7 years or completed a GED over 7 years ago, they need only submit their GED or high school transcript for evaluation. If they have been out of high school less than 7 years and don't have at least 30 hours of college credit, the test scores are also required. However, some schools do this differently and might require official test scores on the spot for admission if an individual has never been to college (SAT or ACT). Also, whenever you get your documents, either have them directly mailed or do not open or remove them from their original envelope as, in order to be considered official, they must remain unopened until somebody in the Office of Admissions opens them.

As for the application forms, you could either visit the website of the school and fill out an application online (if they offer that option), visit the school personally, or fill out an inquiry card or call somebody at the university and request that an application be mailed to you.

Good luck!
