I've been in a pool with friends for the past 26 years, the draft is held during Canadian Thanksgiving.

It's never too late as I've never been in a pool that was won in October

Not too late. I find it's best to start the last week of August. Plan for a draft later in September. Gives time for people to get ready and allows for returners to get your message. It may not always be easy tracking people down.

I have two teams already but another is possible. Sometimes it's better to wait until camp is going so you have a better feel for who will make the big club and who is going to the DL to start the season.

The draft day for our 12th annual pool is September 30th.
