There was this old guy that used to come in the store where I worked years ago. He was a frequent customer and always paid for his purchases by scrounging around the pockets of his bib overalls and usually coming up with his total counting out change. He had long stringy gray hair, dirty fingernails and body odor. I really thought he lived in a cardboard box or something. He actually lived in a tumble down shack in an area that had really started building up, malls, office parks and such. My boss said that if he actually owned the property he lived on that he was sitting on a gold mine, but he doubted he did.
When the old man died, he left various neices and nephews 2.2 million dollars, not counting the acres he DID own after all. Never found out what his heirs sold it for. Double digit millions was the rumor.
So, to answer the question.... noooo.

No, you can't, some who have wealth and power flaunt it while others that have wealth are very conservative in their mannerisms and dress. I had a cousin that looked very poor and he even slept outside and constantly looked for work from neighbors and relatives. When he died, several million dollars was found in his belongings! Goes to show that looks are very much deceiving!

there are some indicators. as we are people who belong to a particular class, that class reflects in the way we dress, the things we buy, the topic of our conversation, among many others. a man for example, who dresses in a black, elegant tuxedo wearing a fabulous Rolex watch and exudes authority in the manner of words, wouldn't be mistaken as a poor, penniless man. but of course there are some problems with this. there are people who don't dress like their class -- say, a business tycoon wearing plain jeans and white shirt... or an imeldific lady with the fur coat and all but is in reality, belonging to the rather "poor" people category. bottomline is, you may tell... or you may not. :) [moral lesson would be: withhold your judgements ;D]

no. There are some wealthy people in this world who drive beat up old cars and wear blue jeans from Walmart. You can never judge, because some people are frugal with their money. I've learned that the people who are out wearing the most expensive clothes, driving flashy cars, and living in big houses are most likely in debt............
I would rather die a millionaire driving my old chevy truck, debt free and living in an apartment than buying flashy things and constantly worrying about money.

No, especially not these days when you have people willing to bankrupt themselves to look rich.
Then you've got people with money who aren't out to get noticed who dress very, very casual. You'd never know they had money.
