Unfortunately, it's a moot point Unlike desktops, laptop video chipsets cannot be upgraded after they leave the factory- they are part of the motherboard. So if your unit came with GeForce Go 6100, that's what it has for the lifetime of the unit-even models which are available with different mobile video options can only be changed by the manufacturer.

Yes, the Geforce Go 7600, 8600 or 8800 would all be great improvements (listed in ascending order) but that's only a guide when looking at machines before buying.

Sorry :(

the problem here is that notebooks are not made for high-end gaming unless it is Extreme like those that cost $5000 on alienware...

the other problem is if u actually would know how to change OR if U CAN change the video card and take the notebook apart...

so i say to u ur best bet is to just use that video card and if games don't run good.. ur last resort is to buy any video card for notebook $100-150 is good although not best

Sorry but what you want is SO EASY to do on a desktop PC but impossible on your laptop. If you have gaming in mind for a laptop, you should select the GPU first then CPU second.

Vista again...when it proves itself then I suppose there will be better cards to go with it. Until then nobody knows.
