Nickygirl.....AB is supposed to be the rarest. I knew someone that was a person that was called in an emergency if that type of blood was needed. He was of mid-east descent.

Well, if they say that you are more likely to find a match with someone of your own race then it would seem to be that a race would generally share the same blood type - rare or not. However, not everyone in a race has the same blood type.

I have a rare blood type supposedly known to be mostly had by Asians. AB negative. Rh positive.

Yes, I have read that a rare blood type was specific to the yellow race or swt

Not specific to, but more prevalent in people of certain descent. For instance Scandinavians have a higher proportion of A+ the rest of Europe.

I don't think so. I think they are just particular to an individual's genetic make-up. I believe AB neg is very rare.

None are considered RARE.
