i am in high school now and i have so many more friends than middle school. you aren't judged as much, you have more free time, you have so many privileges, and i just love it! except this new girl is extremely pretty, extremely nice, she's not "popular" per se but everyone likes her. she's making friends with all of my friends...except me. and i'll admit it, i am jealous of her. all my guy friends like her. that doesn't really bother me, except i think i like one of my guy friends. ugh. i'm not really asking for help, i just wanted to complain. but if you can help, it would be much appreciated.

i've tried befriending her, because she is really nice. it's not that i don't like her, i'm just jealous of her.

oh, and my guy friend definitely doesn't like me. he's basicaly my best friend and we know everything about each other. except he isn't dating until he's a junior, unless he likes someone enough to ask them out along the way. and because i know him, i know he would ask me out if he did like me.

Its ok,... we all feel like this at one time or another,... maybe she is jealous of YOU,... and insecure,... and doesnt know how to get close to you.
Or,... maybe she just wants all the guys attention,... let it go,... dont show that it bothers you hon

By your own admission she is nice, and that goes a long way toward bolstering one's attractiveness. Maybe it would be helpful to get to know her better for yourself....you will probably like her and gain some insight into what makes her so engaging. As a result, the jealousy will be replaced by "something" else, and you'll see that there is plenty of room for all of you.

Work it out. No one like a whinger. I used to think when I was your age that this sort of crap matters...but then I grew up and became and an adult and look back at high school now and realise how imature I was and how un-important all that stuff is when compared to anything else.

Well I dont know if i can help but I can suggest something,
The guy that you think you like you should talk to him and make him "yours" before she (the other girl) gets to liking him.
Not to be rude or anything.
