im watching the exorcist tonight with my boyfriend ....
im a bit of a woss when it comes to scary movies ... so can you please just tell me what happens ... and is it scary ?

I think it's one of the scariest movies of all time.
But some people think it's funny.
Maybe it depends on if you believe in possession or not.

I didnt think it was scary at all, i laughed through some of it because its not very believable.
I got scared when watching Signs - thats the scariest film ive ever seen so i am quiet a wuss when it comes to horror aswell but i dont think the exorcist was as scary as some people said it was.
What happens is a girl gets possessed and begins talking in strange voices and saying strange things and i wont tell you everything that happens because it will ruin the film.

The original one is a lot scarier than the remake. The remake isnt bad at all, but when the original came out in the 70s I think it was people were throwing up in the theater... but that was then, and now people are more used to it.
So..... in conclusion
Original one: Pretty scary since you are a wuss :P (I am too lol)
Remake: Not very scary

It is really, really scary. It is almost as scary as Psycho with Anthony Perkins. One of my friends said he watched that movie from under the theater seat.

depends on which exorcist ur watching if its the 1973 one its really scary!
i heard sum ppl had heart attacks while watchin the 1973 exorcist but if its sum other exorcist its probly wont be very scary

On a scale of 10.
I would give it a 10
only cuz of the audio the audio is what makes it scary.
If you watched it without sound it would not be scary at all.

I will be perfectly honest with you.
It depends on how much you believe in spirits and possession. When I first saw the movie I believed that people could get possessed and the movie scared the crap out of me. If you believe then you will be scared.

Depends. Being scared is just your state your mind. If you can convince yourself that it's all but a movie with superb CG and props, maybe that will help you feel a lot better. For God's sake, it's just a movie.
