That is like asking if having a mother is a great thing. Some people would say yes because they have a great mother while others would say no because they had a horrible mother. So, it definitely depends on the person you marry. Hopefully you will marry someone who trully compliments your personality and makes you happy and that you want to spend the rest of your life with.

Well marriage works for some people but not others. I think that one of the reasons the divorce rate is so high is that not too many people think of ALL that marriage entails. Sure just because your in love with someone doesnt mean that you should just mary them. Marriage is work you have to be there for each other through the good times and the bad times. Bad times truly test a realtionship.

Depends what your definition of 'fun' is. Marriage isn't about having endless fun, its about committing to one person and loving them forever unconditionally and its about companionship. Sure, marriage can be fun, but if you rely on it to be fun forever then don't do it. It needs attention, care and compromise for it to be successful.
You shouldn't get married just for the fun of it, you should take it way more seriously. It means so much more.

I'm curious about getting married. That's because I've always wondered how it felt like to get a divorce and be in the middle of a custody battle.

It can be fun but mostly its just 'comfy'. Its just living with the person you speak to the most, feel the most comfortable around and kind of enjoy normal activities like going to the park with your kids or doing housework together, or watching TV, it isn't always fun, I would describe it more as nice.

Yes, it gives you a sense of security and achievement when you see all your mates etc getting divorces . It's fun as you build a bond like nothing else.
