Most people in the middle class want to work hard and better their lives.

Dems don't want to let them do that, they offer the drug of the handout, and some people, sadly, latch onto that. But if you are middle class, and vote Democrat, that will do nothing to help you become upper middle class.

There are many sound qualities of the Republican party such as fiscal restraint, less taxes (better with less spending) and less Government intrusion in our lives.

Of course the current Republican party does none of those things which leads me to the question, why does anybody want to become a Republican anymore?

Oh yeah, anti-abortion and anti-gay rights, tell us who to worship and where. You know, important things.

Because it's possible to be middle class and really gullible.

Expecially if the word "Socialism" activates your patellar reflex whether or not it's used with any accuracy. Or for that matter, whether or not you have any handle on the actual definition.

It's exactly the same kind of mindless namecalling that both parties do. Except that Democrats have a better case for calling all Republicans "Nazis."

And Bekki, Republicans also reach into your pocket and use the money to buy votes--they just give more of your money to fewer people.

Ruth, how can you spout that when it is your party that is trying to destroy the constitution.

Democrats are not Socialist's and Republicans are not for the average person in this country. They have almost wiped out the middle class!

And it is the Republican middle class that is going to get slammed for their party's additional 4 TRILLION in additional debt! And they are going to blame the Democrats!out of 132 million tax paying families, there are only 9.7 million who are really in the middle class! And they are like the rest of us: 2 paychecks from poverty!

You know, I have often asked that question myself as the Republican party does not represent them except hand out corporate welfare, which provides many of them jobs. The highest paid welfare recipients in the US! And most of them have health insurance!

Rosanne Barr said it best:
"Working people voting Republican is like the chickens voting for Colonel Sanders"

I'm not sure I'm even middle class and I'm a Republican. My choice is easy and is based on my Constitutional education. I love my country and do not wish to see it destroyed internally by socialism.

the real question here....is how can i not be?

i am not a socialist..i love free enterprise...and i work hard for my money...

democrats want nothing more than to reach deeper in my pockets to further their political agenda...spread the wealth...not their wealth of course....MINE...

i believe people should have to work for what they get...not have some slimey politician hand it to them on a silver platter...especially if the platter is made from my hard work...

if you work for a living, and most middle class americans do...you can't support someone who wants to take your hard cash and turn it into a vote for themselves....

dig it or don't..

How can you not? If the Democrats had their way, there would have never been the tax cuts which have been huge since I have a large family. Republicans tend to support family issues and other moral issues.

Considering the alternative, it's a simple choice...I don't see America "taxing its way to prosperity" which is the Democrat solution.

Most of us are taxpayers. Voting Democrat if you are a taxpayer is like a chicken voting for Col. Sanders.
