Since the bill is unsecured it's more likely that they will simply turn your account over to a collection agency who will then make it their business to harrass you to see how much money they can get from you. Before that happens, you have several options. One of the best is to write a letter to the company and make an offer to settle the account for an amount less than the face value of the bill. Start fairly low and work your way up to an amount that you can pay. When you write them, be sure to include a proviso in your letter which states that your offer to settle the account is valid until some date. Don't allow it to be open-ended. You will have to be prepared for a hassle with them but ultimately you will probably prevail. If the company turns the account over to a collection agency, they will only get a percentage of the face amount of the bill, so you can attempt to use that to your advantage. Don't make an offer that you don't fully intend to carry through on if it's accepted.

If you run up a bill of any sort, you're responsible for the payment. It doesn't matter who you are, where you live, etc. A bill is a bill & you should never take on a responsibility if you're not able to act on it. If you live with your family, chances are you have more extra money than you're willing to admit to. If you're working, then there's no reason why you can't be making small payments toward this bill. It doesn't just go away. You always have the option to make payments & I can guarantee if you took just $50 each paycheck & gave it to that company, they'd drop wanting to take you to court. If you're not paying a cent toward that bill, yes, they're going to come after you because you're not acting on your responsibility. It's completely legal. You need to either pay the bill at hand, talk to someone in the collections agency to see about getting on a payment plan, or get ready to go to court. Good luck.

The first question is whether or not the bill is legitimate.

I notice you didn't say it wasn't.

The next question is whether or not you can pay them back.

I notice you say you can't while online. That probably means you're paying for internet access, which probably came with cable, and probably runs $100 per month. If you did without that for a year, you could pay them. In any event, you're certainly on a computer that is worth something.

Why do you feel entitled to take $1200 worth of services without paying for them? Would you be persuaded if your boss didn't pay you for a week of work and said he didn't have the money?

Be responsible, pay your debts.

They can attach your wages if they take it to court. If you are served papers, and they take it to court, this could happen.

You should have not taken the papers or had someone tell the person you are not living there. If they could not find you to serve you papers, they could take it to court and it would just be thrown out.

If they attach your wages, they will look at your income and take an amount per pay period from your check until it is paid back. You may also have to pay court costs, etc. That would make it over 2000 bucks. Sorry.

But if you live with your family, you should be able to afford the bill.

Since your papers were served, you could contact them and offer a deal. Suggest a 500 dollar payment. Borrow the money if you don't have it. They will take it since court costs make the total bill 200.

If you owe them or any company any money and you do not work or make little and have other payments to make its hard for them to get anything from you if you work and pay other bills they can only get even in court only what you can afford, I suggest you call this company and tell them your problem if they do not understand and want to take you to court let the court now your situation, they ask for a financial affidavit and see how much you can afford but be smart always let your creditors your problems its up to them if they want to understand cant take water out of dry well.

certainly, animal administration in significant cities which includes Houston which has the investment and between the main important horse removing squads interior the U. S. using abuse and forget, can legally do away with an animal from the premises and not applying a warrant in-hand while an animal has been injured to a sufficient degree and vet care isn't at recent attained by the valuables or horse proprietor. that's the problem right here (harm sustained regardless of reason, how undesirable substitute into the wear and tear, and what action interior what time-physique substitute into taken by the parent of the horse on the time of the incident), no longer whether a organic experience/twist of destiny occured or no longer. Your "chum" could have called the vet at recent and did no longer even could pass get the horse to deliver her interior, that's the section that confounds me, as somebody who has been in horses at top stages for virtually all of her existence and has been interior the criminal place of possessing respected horse homes. The vet can pass interior the sphere and sedate the horse with permission, then, tend to injuries. Why substitute into this so complicated on your "chum" to hold close? anybody is perplexing the problem right here and taking this question very in my opinion. My wager is maximum possibly making use of a difficulty from their own previous adventure that has its own set of unique information that are no longer the comparable as what your horse experienced. larger cities with an excellent application in place have judges that certainly uphold animal medical care rules on the tortious point in civil court docket; smaller, rural areas usually turn a blind eye to animals like horses using fact they're categorised as family to swine and different farm animals.

In most states it's illegal to threaten legal action if you don't have the intent to follow through with it. . . so, I'd say -- if they're saying that they'll take you to court . . . they probably will. . .

and, if you don't have the money to pay -- the court can garnish your check. You'll be amazed at how much money you learn to live without, when you don't have the opportunity to get it, in the first place.

They most certainly will take you to court for this. The court costs and perhaps attorney's fees could also be added on to this bill. Take some personal responsibility and pay the bill.

When you have no money, then you stop taking people's services and products. It's not that hard to understand. You stop yakking on the phone; you stop going on the internet; you try to earn some money to pay your debts. Or else, not paying makes you a thief. You then deserve to be caned, to help you learn that.
