In order for your coin to be of any value you would first need to have it authenticated. A coin dealer can help you with this. In your case you will want to find out what happened with this coin - if someone simply ground down one side of the coin then it would not carry a premium.
Your best bet would be to take your coin to a local coin dealer. They will be able to tell you more by evaluating the condition of the coin. They will also know what it is going for in today's market.

It has been know for grease to block a die, or part of a rag block a die, but at least some of the image is there. There is no way a coining press can work without both dies in place.The coin needs to be deen by a dealer and if it has not had something done to it after it left the mint it then needs to be sent in for authentication. A value can be made after that.

If it's silver it may be worth 75ç to a metals dealer. Other than that it's worth 25ç.
