if its like any type of upvc i have come across then i think you really have a problem..the outside door handle is held in position by screws that are passed through the INSIDE door handle ..there fore to remove handle you need access to inside ..you could try drilling out the middle of handle and gaining access to the lock spindle ..but there is no guarantee that the spindle is to blame ..its normally the lock mechanism and this is only removable by removing door handles ,.and then with door open undo screw in middle of door and remove lock through either front or back of door ..the locks on plastic doors are only held in by this one screw ..you must have a window into this building ..i would suggest you remove some glass and get in to remove the door handle screws from inside ..

If the key will not turn far enough to work the lock mechanism, the lock's "timing" is out of whack. In other words, it isn't installed properly. I'm guessing that the lock is a deadbolt - this is a common problem with deadbolts, especially the type with keyed cylinders both inside and out. The problem is that the cylinder tainpieces are not in the proper position in relation to each other. Take it off the door, extend the bolt to the locked position with a screwdriver, then reassemble the lock again. Test it, by turning the key in both cylinders and if it still doesn't unlock fully, rotate the inside tailpiece 180 degrees and try again. You'll get it right with persistence All the people who answered WD-40 obviously didn't read your whole question. WD-40 is good stuff, but it can't realign parts!

It's bad! You will have to sacrifice the outer handle in order to get at the shaft inside, and turn it manually using a shaft off another door.

Take the handle off,you will see a square shaft, turn it with a spanner or pliers ,and you are sorted.
