The secular parties have divided the hindu society by playing caste politics. It is for the Hindus to realise and not to fall into the hands of these pseudo secular parties who forget them once they get their votes.
The BJP on their part failed to assert themselves when they got the chance to rule.

I do not understand why we should mix Governance with Religion. People like me voted BJP to power hoping under the new Government, there will be some hope for middle class and change in the style of governance.. But when BJP came to Power they have done nothing to help the middle class, nor try to improve the Economy or Living standards of the people. The annual budgets of BJP also repeated the increase of taxes, cost of Petroleum products and all essentials in the name of development. Ironically all Political Parties Secular, Communal, Left, Right, or Regional are led by the same old bureaucracy when they come to power. This is going on for the past sixty odd years without break. Only beneficiary is "you know who"!

BJP has been making some wrong moves but most importantly Hindus in India have completely lost their identity. And under the divisive influence of caste based politics they are less Hindus and more of some weird caste based identity.
Hinduism never taught division, though it does give freedom to practice whatever faith and profession you want because it believes there is only one god and any peaceful method of prayer and living is ok. The original varnas existed based on the occupation of a person and anybody could chaneg their occupation anytime. Unfortunately in course of time only the negative aspects about this were highlighted and used against Hinduism. What this means is that there was and has been a sustained propaganda campaign against maligning Hinduism and demoralize a peace and god loving person.
Hence you find so many different things in Hinduism and so many different representations of GOD, by the above definition Hinduism can also encompass other religions because the other religions just worship different forms of gods and have a set of rules and regulations to follow for moksha/jannat/heaven or whatever.

You are right in a way that Hindus are the least politically sensitive people of the world. But they have started learning lessions fast.
The possible answer for "why Hindus are not voting for BJP enblock?'' is that the BJP is upper cast dominant party. But the people have found the way out. In UP Hindus have voted enblock but under the leadership of Mayavati. If BJP also starts giving power sharing to lower casts, the days are not far off that the so called secular parties would vanish in no time. Wait for the day.

BJP , when given the opportunity by the people, has not behaved any differently from the Congress. So when the original is available why look for imitations?
They did not believe in unified command and allowed bi - polar and even multi - polar power centres. They should have continued to keep reliance on the leadership of Atal Bihari Vajpayi during the process of consolidation. They have no patience. Further, Hindus do not get excited with religious fanaticism as much as the Muslims who get exploited easily by their leaders.

Keeping apart your argument that BJP is the sole leader for Hindus, the Hindu Dharma never mixed politics and religion. Moreover like other major religion in the world, Christianity and Islam, there is no masses or namaz type of gathering in Hindus. Even in occasional/festival Hindu gatherings, the sermons are purely religious and not about politics. Not but not least, Hindus were never united on religious issue.

your question is as foolish as you. please frame it well.
As for main qn is concerned, Why should Hindus vote for BJP?
More than seventy percent of Hindus find difficult to make two end meet. It was so when BJP was in power and is in the states ruled by it. More than 50% of Hindus are illiterate/ BJP had no program for them. Only employment it offered is of mason in future (If so called Ram Mandir is constructed) and of hooligans time to time as needed after 92, in Gujarat etc.
BJP had and likewise UPA or UNPA or BSP does not have any programme for majority of people, whose majority is constituted by Hindus. Debacle f BJP is due to its policies- in fact any party after 1991 - (When NEP were introduced) ha any thing to offer for vast masses. that is why any party in power is almost sure to loose. When unemployment, starvation, farmers suicide etc. were on the rise, BJP ridiculed the misery of common people (Vast majority is Hindus) by shouting "India Shinning". Congress acme to power with these issues on their "hand". But t they are just the same.
So folk, Hindus have suffered more in BJP regime than in the previous. That is why intelligent patriotic, country ( by country is meant -people and not land) loving Hindus have rejected BJP. Got it....?

till casteism is addressed to it's logical end hinduism will suffer the most.it may be possible majority amongst hidus i.e the lower castes convert themselves to Buddhism and then cause hinduism to merge with Buddhism in near future. Hinuism has no future if the present gen of upper castes do not mend their ways and tend to defend the statusquo i.e Manuwad.
the merit/talent is a boggy as could be seen by the Reel HERO/HEROINES and their products holding FILM industry to ransom with most stupid films made by the thousands.
look at the Bajaj, the godrej, the Dalmiyas and the gandhi-neherus and the rajmatas, rajranis, the nawabs, their chamchas. they needed no merits but the family tree to hang on. it's time for a change. BC/OBCs will snatch power being in majority. name of the party will be unimportant.
